Job summary

High Transit LLC seeks a Carrier Relationship Manager to align external carrier capacity with High Concrete Group LLC shipping demand in Denver, PA. The role reports to the Transportation Manager and focuses on timely, on-budget transport operations across multiple projects.

The position is a 1st shift, Monday–Friday. Responsibilities include developing a qualified carrier base, negotiating contracts, tendering loads, tracking variances, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business or a related field with a minimum of ten years related, progressive experience required.
• Experience negotiating transportation contracts and rates, with a basic understanding of insurance requirements.
• Can navigate ambiguous circumstances effectively, while considering internal and external customer implications to achieve a positive outcome.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong logistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

• Develop a qualified carrier base.
• Secure contracts with qualified transportation providers.
• Negotiate rates with carriers at or below estimated cost on a per load basis.
• Tender loads to qualified carrier base and administer rate confirmation.
• Track variances and resolve issues on loads, jobsites, erectors, and project managers.
• Articulate causes of variances to estimates.
• Resolve discrepancies between Accounts Payable and carriers.
