Job summary

The Bridges of Hendricks Creek in Tarboro, NC is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide direct care to residents, assist with daily living activities, and promote dignity and independence in a safe, healing environment.

The PCA will support bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, mobility, monitor health, report changes, and engage residents in social activities while following safety protocols and infection control.

Qualifications

• Education and training requirements as listed (HS diploma or GED preferred).
• State-approved PCA/CNA training preferred.
• Experience in personal care or senior living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
• Observe and report changes in health, behavior, and physical condition to nursing staff; assist with medication reminders.
• Foster positive relationships with residents through companionship and engagement in activities.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols; maintain clean, safe living areas and respond to emergencies.
