Job summary

Waltonwood is seeking caring caregivers to support residents in our senior living community. You will assist with ADLs, provide emotional support, and help residents maintain independence with dignity.

Candidates should have a NC CNA certification, a high school diploma or GED, and prior experience with seniors or memory-impaired individuals is preferred. Join a team dedicated to compassion and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• In North Carolina, CNA is required.
• Previous caregiver experience is preferred.
• Experience with elderly or memory-impaired adults is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as waking, toileting, feeding, safety, and bathing.
• Respond to resident emergency call systems promptly.
• Provide mealtime, activity, and social support as needed.
• Offer emotional support with respect, dignity, and a cheerful demeanor.
• Promote safety and wellbeing using procedures, equipment, and awareness.
• Assist with janitorial and housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Participate in shift change meetings to relay resident status and needs.
• Report changes in behavior or medical conditions to leadership.
• Follow supervisor directions for care and emergencies.
• Communicate with outside agencies and community partners (hospice, home health, etc.).
• Complete required documentation (care summaries, 24-hour reports, logs).
• Assist with other duties as assigned by Wellness Coordinator and leadership.
