Job summary

Waltonwood is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to support residents with activities of daily living and ensure their comfort and safety in a community setting. You will report to the Wellness Coordinator and work as part of the Resident Care Team.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, responding to emergency calls, and providing emotional support while maintaining residents' dignity. Prior CNA certification in NC is required, with previous elder care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• In North Carolina, CNA is required.
• Previous experience as a caregiver is preferred.
• Previous experience working with the elderly or memory impaired adults is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (daily living activities) such as waking, toileting, feeding, safety, bathing.
• Respond to the resident emergency call system promptly.
• Provide assistance during mealtime, activities, or wherever necessary.
• Offer emotional support, treating residents with respect, dignity, and a cheerful demeanor.
• Promote safety and wellbeing through procedures, equipment, and awareness of hazards.
• Assist with janitorial and housekeeping tasks as needed.
