Job summary

Homewood Living Frederick is seeking a registered nurse for the day shift to oversee direct resident care and administer prescribed medications. The role emphasizes confidentiality, adherence to policy, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include documenting care, supervising Nursing Assistants, transcribing orders, and participating in care planning. Strong English communication and physical ability to lift 30 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the state providing nursing care.
• Ability to read, write and understand English well.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and assist with resident transfers.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments following nursing procedures.
• Maintains accurate records of medical and nursing care of residents.
• Assigns daily care duties to Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides and monitors delivery of care.
• Transcribes and carries out physician orders and assists with physician visits.
• Participates in resident care planning and evaluates residents' needs.
• Assists with admissions and discharges and with management of nursing staff.
• Responds to emergencies and adheres to protocols.
