Job summary

Homewood Living Frederick is seeking a registered nurse to join our night shift team. This full-time role requires delivering direct resident care, administering prescribed medications, and collaborating with our care staff to maintain high standards.

The position offers competitive hourly pay between $37.75 and $40.75, plus benefits including PTO, tuition reimbursement, health/dental/vision and life insurance, retirement contributions, and licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state providing nursing care.
• Judgment, initiative and dependability are essential.
• Ability to read, write and understand English well.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop and twist during an eight hour shift.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds for resident lifts and transfers.
• Ability to react quickly in emergencies and to follow instructions.
• Ability to communicate with residents clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assesses direct resident care and administers prescribed medications.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information and respects privacy.
• Administers medications and treatments per nursing techniques.
• Records medical and nursing care accurately and descriptively.
• Assigns and monitors daily care duties for staff and evaluates delivery of care.
• Transcribes and carries out physician orders and assists visits.
• Participates in resident care planning and responds to residents' needs.
• Supports admissions and discharges and manages nursing staff as needed.
