Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure to practice independently as a Psychologist, LCSW, LMHC, LPC, or LMFT.
• Previous experience in a mental health role, preferably in a geriatric or long-term care setting.
• Experience working with elderly populations and understanding age-related mental health issues is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychological assessments and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to residents' unique needs.
• Offer individual counseling for depression, anxiety, grief, adjustment disorders, and cognitive changes using evidence-based techniques.
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and facility staff to ensure residents receive seamless, integrated care.
• Respond to emotional or psychological crises with immediate intervention and support.
• Keep accurate, confidential records and follow ethical, state, and federal guidelines.
• Navigate multiple electronic medical records with confidence and accuracy.
