Job summary

Burcham Hills, an upscale senior living community in East Lansing, MI, seeks a Medication Aide/Caregiver. This role involves providing non-skilled nursing services to residents, administering medications, monitoring treatment responses, and assisting with daily living activities. Candidates should have at least 3 months of experience in direct service with older adults. Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months related experience and/or training in direct service with older adults.
• CNA or nursing coursework completed is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend written and oral instructions in English.
• Willingness to handle difficult situations involving residents.
• Ability to work independently as well as a part of a highly productive team.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as per procedures and record administration.
• Monitor resident responses to treatments and report changes to nurses.
• Maintain detailed resident records including health and emotional conditions.
• Assist residents with daily hygiene and mobility as per care plans.
• Support transportation of residents as necessary.
