Job summary

The Village of Southampton, an Independent and Assisted Living with Memory Care, is seeking a PRN Resident Assistant to support residents with medications and daily care. Pay rates range from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour, and weekend and holiday availability is required.

You will administer medications as prescribed, supervise self-administration, maintain daily records, assist with treatments, and participate in emergency responses while promoting teamwork and upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Exercise independent judgment in performing tasks beyond routine resident care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor residents' responses.
• Assist residents with medications and supervise those who self-administer.
• Maintain residents’ records daily including medication distribution, activities, incidents, observations and changes in condition.
• Write weekly/monthly summaries addressing issues identified in service plans.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the medicine supply room.
• Receive and manage reports on all residents.
• Count controlled substances with outgoing RMAs, ensuring accuracy before accepting keys.
• Provide direct resident care as described in the Resident Assistant Job Description.
• Follow procedures in emergencies and respond promptly to resident requests for assistance.
• Promote teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene per company policies.
