Job summary

Western Home Communities is seeking a PRN Resident Assistant/Medication Manager for our assisted living facility. You will provide compassionate care under nursing supervision, assist with daily activities, and support medication handling as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age to obtain a Medication Manager
• Must be willing to obtain Medication Manager (we will enroll you upon hire if you haven't already taken the course) (Not required)
• Current active CNA license to practice in Iowa
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and the public
• Strong commitment to serving others
• Prior direct care experience is preferred, but not required
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as required

Responsibilities

• Provide care to residents under the supervision of the nurse and the support of your team
• Assist with daily activities and personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, mobility, toilet, etc.)
• Assist with organizing, cleaning, laundry, meals, and other tasks
• Promptly answer residents' calls for assistance with compassionate care per care plan
• Document resident interactions and coordinate with team; may include Medication Manager duties
• Medication duties include preparation and administration of medications, tests, and treatments
• Ensure residents' rights are adhered to
