Sunrise Senior Living in Arlington, VA is seeking a Medication Aide/Med Tech to administer medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity, following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration.

You will document in MAR/TAR in real time, observe residents, monitor symptoms, report concerns, and maintain clean medication carts. This role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Medication Administration certification or credential.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
