Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Overland Park, KS seeks a dedicated Medication Aide/Med Tech to provide safe, accurate medication care to residents. You will administer meds per physician orders, observe residents, and maintain precise MAR/TAR documentation.

This full-time role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a Medication Administration certification, CPR/First Aid, strong communication skills, and prior senior care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 18+ years old.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time
• Observe residents during and after medication passes
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief
• Report refusals or concerns promptly
• Complete narcotic counts per policy
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms
• Follow infection control and safety standards
