Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide / Med Tech to deliver safe, accurate medication care for residents in a senior living environment. You will administer medications, document real-time updates, and monitor residents for changes, ensuring proper safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and pharmacy-related certifications, with CPR/First Aid certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medication administration certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
