Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide / Med Tech to safely administer medications and treatments, ensuring dignity for residents. You will adhere to physician orders, document in MAR/TAR in real time, monitor responses, and promptly report concerns to maintain resident safety.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma/GED, Medication Administration certification, CPR and First Aid certifications, and strong documentation and communication skills; prior senior care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Medication Administration certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
