Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Medication Administration training/certification per state requirements.
• Must meet all health requirements.
• Experienced CNA certification per state requirements.
• CPR certification.
• Strong command of English reading/writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication assistance and personal care to residents as directed.
• Complete documentation per standards to ensure care services meet resident needs.
• Participate in narcotic count at shift change with accurate inventory documentation.
• Administer medications as directed, following Rights of Medication Administration.
• Maintain cleanliness of the medication room and cart.
• Inform families when mail order medicines need to be reordered.
• Record vital signs (temp, BP, pulse, resp) and monitor resident status.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and policies.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings; participate in disaster drills.
