Job summary

Spring Arbor of Cary is seeking a Medication Technician (Med Tech) to support Assisted Living residents with medication administration and daily care, under the guidance of the Resident Care Director. Position is part-time with shifts 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am, pay range $18.18-$22.52 per hour, and requires a Medication Training certification, 18+ years old, and the ability to pass a

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum one (1) year experience with senior adults highly preferred.
• May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), depending on the state requirements; if licensed or certified, must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
• Must possess current Medication Training certification.
• Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
• The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.
• Certification in CPR and first aid preferred or as required by the State.
• Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Approach every encounter with residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented way
• Assist residents with medications as allowed under State guidelines
• Help residents with daily living activities — bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care
• Communicate closely with the Resident Services team to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in and help lead resident activities
• Deliver friendly, courteous service with resident satisfaction as a top priority
