Region VII Area Agency on Aging in Bay City, MI seeks an Information and Assistance Specialist to guide seniors and families in choosing services and connecting to federal, state, and local programs.

The role requires a BA/BS, AIRS certification preferred, strong computer and communication skills, and willingness to travel within the region. You will manage information materials, coordinate outreach, and support SHIP volunteers.

Formación

• BA/BS degree required; AIRS certification preferred.
• Strong computer and communication skills; ability to interact with the public and agencies.
• Willingness to travel within all ten counties of the region and sometimes beyond.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsabilidades

• Advocate for and provide information and assistance to seniors and families.
• Link clients to federal, state, and local programs and services.
• Coordinate internal/external communication activities and materials.
• Maintain I&A data collection applications and support SHIP volunteers.
• Conduct Friendly ReassURANCE Calls to ensure well-being of seniors.
