Job summary

Right At Home In Home Care in Wallingford CT seeks Homemaker/Companion caregivers to provide companionship and non-medical home care to elderly clients in the community.

You will assist with daily activities, light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation as needed, while maintaining safety and dignity. Opportunities to grow with paid training and supportive leadership are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Reliable Transportation
• Valid Driver's license and auto insurance
• High School diploma or GED
• Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check
• Must have basic computer skills and navigate with little assistance from others
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and home care assistance to elderly clients
• Assist with eating, personal hygiene, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, laundry
• Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises and dementia care
• Medication reminders and companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles
