Job summary
Always Best Care Senior Services- Wallingford & New Haven is seeking compassionate caregivers to help seniors live safely and comfortably at home. You’ll provide non-medical support, companionship, and practical help in clients’ homes across New Haven and surrounding areas.
The role emphasizes flexibility, meaningful work, and a supportive team that offers additional hours based on client needs and availability.
Qualifications
- Previous caregiving, home care, CNA, PCA, HHA, or related experience preferred
- Must be able to pass required background and employment screenings
- Reliable transportation is preferred for applicable assignments
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and the Always Best Care team
Responsibilities
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with activities of daily living
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Medication reminders
- Assistance with mobility and transfers, as permitted by training
- Providing transportation or accompaniment to appointments and errands when applicable
- Following each client’s individualized care plan
- Communicating client needs and concerns to the office
- Maintaining a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for clients
