Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Chaplin, CT, is seeking a Resident Care Associate to support seniors in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will assist with daily tasks, follow individualized care plans, document services, and help maintain residents' dignity and quality of life.

The role emphasizes patience, empathy, and teamwork, and the RCA will model company values. Shifts run 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am, with full-time benefits and a focus on safety, confidentiality, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Compassionate disposition and a desire to serve; prior experience not required.
• Ability to fulfill both physical and emotional needs of residents.
• CNA or HHA required.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain according to policy.
• Upholds resident confidentiality.
• Flexible availability, including weekends.
• Demonstrates genuine concern for seniors and their families.
• Proficient with basic office equipment and PCs.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and document care.
• Aid residents with mobility and use proper techniques to prevent accidents.
• Conduct routine care rounds per individualized care plans.
• Assist with lifts, moves, and transport using safe body mechanics.
• Maintain skin integrity and hygiene for residents.
• Document daily care activities per policy and standards.
• Report resident issues promptly to the supervisor.
• Respond respectfully to inquiries from residents, visitors, and staff.
