Job summary

Coalinga Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated CNA to join the Activities Department. The role provides routine care and services to clients, supports the Activity Director, and helps implement a comprehensive activity program tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities include leading group and one-to-one activities, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, writing measurable client goals, and ensuring safety, privacy, and dignity while complying with facility policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CNA license and be 18 years or older.
• Oral and written communication skills required.
• Previous experience in a health care setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implements an interactive daily program, including large and small groups, special events, and community outings.
• Provides one to one programming for clients who are unable or unwilling to participate in group programs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meeting.
• Writes and implements measurable goals to meet the individual needs of the client.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks/ responsibilities and complete duties/projects within the time allotted.
• Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report to a licensed nurse.
• Meet the client's mental health and social needs.
• Be aware of developmental tasks and physiological changes associated with aging.
• Maintain personal choices and client dignity; respect privacy and confidentiality.
• Work effectively with the client’s families.
• Approach all clients in a kind, gentle manner; maintain confidentiality as required.
• Complies with facility policies and procedures for workplace safety and infection control.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency and disaster procedures and follow instructions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
