Job summary

Rocky Mountain Care – Cottage on Vine in Murray, UT is seeking an Activities Aide to support the Activities Director by planning monthly calendars, coordinating resident transportation, and assisting with both group and in-room activities. You will document participation and monitor resident responses to activities.

The role requires strong communication, a Food Handler permit, and TRT certification, with opportunities to engage residents and families in ongoing programs.

Qualifications

• Current/ Active Food Handlers Permit required.
• Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
• Therapeutic Recreation Technician (TRT) is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a monthly activity calendar written in large print and posted in a prominent location.
• Place a copy of the calendar in each resident's room.
• Interview residents or families to obtain activity preferences.
• Coordinate and assist residents to activity locations within the facility.
• Assist in conducting activities to promote residents' well-being.
• Document attendance and chart progress notes with resident responses.
• Observe mood and involvement; report changes to the Activities Director.
• Involve residents and families in planning activities when possible.
• Assist with in-room activities and one-on-one visits.
• Coordinate offsite field trips and transportation as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to avoid interruptions to activities.
