Job summary

Spring Creek Care Center in Millcreek, Utah is seeking full-time Activities Staff to support residents through engaging programs and individual activities. You will collaborate with the care team to tailor activities to residents' interests.

The role requires English fluency, a high school diploma, and at least one year in geriatric care; TRS or TRT certification preferred. We offer a supportive team, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• TRS or TRT certification preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in long-term geriatric care.
• Experience leading or supporting activities preferred.
• May be exposed to bodily fluids and communicable illnesses.
• Full range of motion; able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Adequate vision and hearing (with or without assistive devices).
• Meets facility health and screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify and support each resident's preferences, routines, and needs; communicate updates to the care team
• Lead individual and group activities aligned with residents' interests and abilities
• Adapt activities to meet cognitive and physical levels using prompts, demonstrations, and assistance
• Encourage participation while respecting cultural and religious preferences
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe activity spaces
• Store equipment and supplies properly after use
• Collaborate with the Activity Director on programming and planning
• Complete additional duties as assigned
