Job summary

UCI Health seeks a Sr. Ultrasound Technologist to perform comprehensive cardiac diagnostic ultrasound procedures for adult and pediatric patients, including M-mode, 2D/3D, Doppler, and transesophageal echo. Travel between cardiology off-site clinics will be required.

The role involves training fellows and students, rotating shifts, and possible after-hours on-call. Strong ARDMS/CCI certification and two years of cardiac ultrasound experience are expected, with emphasis on excellent English

Qualifications

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
Must possess A.R.D.M.S. and/or CCI Certification.
Must have two years experience in cardiac ultrasound.
Must have two years experience in adult echocardiology.
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to regularly travel locally to Ambulatory Practice off-site locations.
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities

Perform the full range of cardiac diagnostic ultrasound procedures and more complex specialized procedures on adult and pediatric patients.
Operate stationary and portable imaging systems and adjust equipment to best demonstrate area of interest.
Assist in training fellows and students as assigned and rotate shifts, including after-hours on-call.
