Job summary

UCI Health in Orange County is seeking a Sr. Ultrasound Technologist to perform the full range of cardiac diagnostic ultrasound procedures on adult and pediatric patients, including M-mode, 2D/3D, color Doppler, pulsed Doppler, continuous wave Doppler, transesophageal echo, pharmacological and exercise stress echo, Holter monitors and ECGs.

The cardiac sonographer makes decisions on when to use contrast or agitated saline, prepares and positions patients, and rotates shifts, including

Qualifications

• ARDMS and/or CCI Certification required.
• Two years experience in cardiac ultrasound required.
• Two years experience in adult echocardiology required.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of cardiac diagnostic ultrasound exams for adults and children.
• Prepare and position patients and operate ultrasound equipment.
• Assist in training fellows and students as assigned.
