Job summary

UCI Health invites applications for a Sr. Ultrasound Technologist in Cardiology. The role encompasses comprehensive cardiac imaging for adults and children, including M‑mode, 2D/3D, Doppler, transesophageal echo, and stress testing.

You will interpret findings, prepare patients, and operate diverse imaging systems across multiple clinic sites. The position requires two years of cardiac ultrasound experience, ARDMS/CCI certification, excellent English communication, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• ARDMS and/or CCI certification required.
• Minimum two years of experience in cardiac ultrasound.
• Minimum two years of experience in adult echocardiology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to travel locally to Ambulatory Practice off-site locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of cardiac diagnostic ultrasound procedures for adult and pediatric patients (M‑mode, 2D/3D, Doppler, transesophageal echo, stress echo, Holter/ECG).
• Recognize and describe abnormal findings; tailor examinations accordingly.
• Prepare, position patients, and optimize equipment for clear imaging; operate stationary and portable systems.
• Rotate shifts and after-hours on-call as needed; assist in training fellows and students.
• Travel between cardiology off-site clinics where procedures are performed.
