Job summary

Brex is seeking an Underwriting Senior Analyst for its New York City office. This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration with remote flexibility to support underwriting of Brex card products.

You will apply judgment within underwriting frameworks to resolve moderately complex cases and collaborate with Sales, Customer Experience, Engineering and Product. The ideal candidate has 1+ years in underwriting or credit risk, a finance-related degree, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• 1+ years of underwriting or credit risk experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting standards.
• Experience with financial statement analysis.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets and Excel; familiarity with BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure underwriting processes run smoothly for card products.
• Exercise judgment within established underwriting frameworks.
• Resolve moderately complex cases with multiple factors.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Experience, Engineering and Product.
• Improve underwriting processes and metrics.
• Track and communicate underwriting metrics to stakeholders.
• Build relationships with Risk, Sales, Engineering, Product.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to team knowledge.
