Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a Capital Real Estate and Planning Officer to lead the district’s capital development, real estate acquisition, and long-range facilities planning under the Chief Operations Officer.

This senior-level role requires advanced decision-making, budget oversight, procurement governance, and sustainability initiatives to align with the district’s strategic goals.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related area required.
• Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in related area preferred.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education.

Responsabilidades

• Adhere to all laws, policies, and procedures.
• Lead, manage, supervise and evaluate assigned programs/staff.
• Oversee complex, high-value portfolios and ensure sound fiscal stewardship.
• Guide real estate activities including acquisition, leasing, disposition, and due diligence.
• Establish procedures to ensure timely review and approval of contracts, permits and documentation.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead sustainability initiatives aligned with standards.
• Develop strategies to reduce long-term operating costs.
• Develop monitors performance indicators for sustainability.
• Supervise development/administration of project budgets and financial plans.
• Review and approve project cost estimates and procurement recommendations.
• Deliver timely progress reporting and expenditure forecasts.
• Review feasibility studies and environmental assessments for compliance.
