Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Consulting Senior for the Construction and Real Estate Advisory practice to perform construction program reviews, contract cost audits, and real estate management assessments across the United States.

The role requires 3+ years in construction or real estate consulting, a relevant degree, and preferred professional licenses. Travel up to 25% is expected; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of progressive experience in construction management or real estate environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CIA, CCA, CFE, PMP, or PE is preferred.
• Knowledge of planning, pre-construction, procurement, contract administration, scheduling, cost estimating, reporting, and closeout for construction and real estate.
• Experience conducting contract compliance audits, CAM reconciliations, and performance monitoring for public/private clients preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce audit work papers and client reports.
• Oversee project management activities and coordinate schedules, budgets, resources, and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to support client engagements.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews of construction and real estate management processes, controls, and compliance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assess construction contracts, real estate lease agreements, and capital project performance for compliance and best practices.
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
• Lead fieldwork: data collection, site visits, interviews, and reporting for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support oversight, risk mitigation and dispute resolution.
• Support clients through the real estate and capital project lifecycle from acquisition to disposition.
