Job summary

Washington County's Land Use & Transportation is hiring a Senior Project Manager to join the Capital Projects Services (CPS) Division. You will define and coordinate work activities for capital improvement projects, including roads, bikeways, bridges and sidewalks, to improve safety and address transportation demands.

Successful candidates may oversee grant writing, budget development, scheduling, design, permitting, procurement, and construction activities such as monitoring revenues and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, surveying, environmental, transportation planning, construction management, public administration, or a closely related field and four (4) years of project management experience in roadway/bridge/utility/infrastructure construction.
• Seven (7) years of professional level project management experience in roadway/bridge/utility/infrastructure construction may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record per Washington County policy.

Responsibilities

• Define scope and coordinate technical activities for capital improvement project development and construction.
• Apply project management principles, processes, and techniques to capital projects.
• Oversee construction methods and materials for roadways, drainage, and bridges.
• Identify complex problems, evaluate options, and implement solutions.
• Coordinate with diverse stakeholders including the public, coworkers, and vendors.
