Job summary

Washington County's Land Use & Transportation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join the Capital Projects Services Division. You will define and coordinate work activities for capital improvement projects including roads, bikeways, bridges and sidewalks to improve safety and address transportation demands.

Responsibilities include grant writing, budget development, scheduling, design, permitting, procurement, and construction activities, with oversight of revenues and expenditures to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, surveying, environmental, transportation planning, construction management, public administration, or closely related field.
• Four (4) years of project management experience in roadway construction, bridge construction, utility construction, or infrastructure construction that included leading and managing discrete projects from initiation and planning through closure and evaluation; OR
• Seven (7) years of professional level project management experience in roadway construction, bridge construction, utility construction, or infrastructure construction that included leading and managing discrete projects from initiation and planning through closure and evaluation may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record per Washington County policy.

Responsibilities

• Define scope and coordinate technical activities for capital improvement project development and construction.
• Project management principles, processes, and techniques.
• Methods, materials, and techniques used in the construction of roadway, drainage, and bridge projects.
• Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Comfortable working independently.
