Job summary

Charles County Government seeks an experienced Capital Project Management Program Manager to lead the Public Works/Capital Project Management Division. The role applies civil engineering principles to infrastructure projects, supervising PM staff and coordinating with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field plus ten years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Climate competency training at level 2 is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises project management staff; assigns and reviews work and adjusts staffing to meet requirements.
• Develops, reviews and evaluates studies, reports; makes recommendations on personnel, budget and policies.
• Oversees development of RFPs and Invitations to Bid.
• Applies specialized analysis to projects to discern issues and formulate recommendations.
• Meets with stakeholders to discuss requirements and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
• Maintains project files, reports, and related documents; coordinates with other divisions and departments.
