Job summary

Washington County's Land Use & Transportation is hiring a Senior Project Manager to join the Capital Projects Services (CPS) Division in Hillsboro, OR. This role leads capital improvement projects such as roads, bridges, bikeways, and sidewalks to improve safety and reduce bottlenecks.

The position may involve grant writing, budget development, scheduling, design, permitting, procurement, and construction oversight, with responsibilities ranging from initiation to project closure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, surveying, environmental, transportation planning, construction management, or related field.
• 4 years of project management experience in roadway/bridge/utility/infrastructure construction, leading projects from initiation to closure.
• Or 7 years of professional project management experience substituting for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Define scope and coordinate activities for capital improvement project development and construction.
• Coordinate project management processes, budgets, scheduling, and procurement.
• Monitor project revenues and expenditures and ensure safe, compliant construction.
• Engage with diverse stakeholders, including the public, coworkers, and vendors.
