Job summary

City of Port Angeles seeks a senior-level project manager to coordinate all capital and transportation improvement projects. You will manage engineering staff, consultants, and grant processes while ensuring compliance with codes and budget targets.

The role emphasizes training and mentoring, strategic planning support, and cross-department collaboration to deliver high-profile public works initiatives.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of financial management and/or project management in public works.
• Experience supervising finance or professional staff preferred.
• Knowledge of municipal capital project administration and grants is desirable.
• Valid Washington driver’s license within 30 days of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of capital and transportation improvement projects within scope, schedule and budget.
• Supervise engineering staff and consultants; ensure quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee bids, contract documents, and construction inspection for capital projects.
• Prepare and manage CIP/TIP tasks, reports, and grant applications.
