Job summary

Graham Packaging is seeking a Senior Project Manager to direct the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex capital projects in manufacturing facilities. The role supports remote work and requires proximity to a major Midwest airport.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, and drive risk management and regulatory compliance from initiation through handover, with up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience leading large capital construction projects in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or industrial environments.
• Experience delivering projects valued at multi-million to 100M+ USD.
• Experience with greenfield and brownfield facility projects including automated warehouses and manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of construction management, engineering design, procurement, commissioning, and waterfall project delivery.
• PMP certification preferred; Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale capital projects from concept through startup.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and stakeholder alignment throughout all phases.
• Direct cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, operations, automation, safety, procurement, and external contractors.
• Oversee project budgets ranging from multi-million to large capital investments with cost control and reporting.
• Coordinate integration of automation systems, material handling equipment, WMS, and manufacturing technologies.
• Establish governance structures and provide executive updates on status, milestones, risks, and financials.
• Develop and execute risk management plans to mitigate schedule, budget, safety, and operational risks.
• Travel up to 50% of the time.
