Job summary

Graham Packaging is seeking a Program Manager to lead complex programs over $2-3MM, coordinating interdependent projects, budgets, risks, and stakeholder engagement. You will serve as the primary customer contact and mentor PMs while advancing PMO standards across the organization.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of program management experience, with PMP preferred. Travel up to 35% is expected in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of on-the-job service managing projects, programs, or equivalent initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing multiple projects within a coordinated program environment preferred.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and drive execution with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer-facing, presentation, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or developing project team members preferred.
• PMP certification preferred; equivalent training and experience considered.
• Experience in manufacturing, product launches, industrial project execution, packaging, or related industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage programs encompassing interdependent projects and coordinate scope, schedule, budget, risks, and deliverables.
• Lead complex work independently, setting goals and driving progress to commitments.
• Serve as primary point of contact for key customers during program execution.
• Engage stakeholders across functions to align on expectations, accountability, and momentum.
• Mentor and develop less experienced project managers and promote standardized PMO practices.
• Influence best practices and create improved PMO processes, tools, and templates.
• Support governance with clear documentation, communication plans, risk mitigation, budget tracking, and post-program reviews.
• May manage small programs outside industrial projects and product launches as needed.
• Travel average up to 35%.
