Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Capital Project Manager in Dayton, OH to independently manage large‑scale transmission, distribution, and infrastructure projects from planning through construction. You will be at the core of our PMO, delivering projects that expand capacity and reliability while aligning with long‑term system needs.

The role requires 3–7 years of capital construction experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP and Oracle P6 are strongly desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience with capital construction projects isn’t necessary but highly valued.
• Proficiency with SAP and Oracle P6 is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi‑million‑dollar capital projects ($5M–$50M+) from planning through construction.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, cash flows, and risk registers.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, on‑time milestones.
• Lead procurement planning, scope development, bid evaluations, and contract administration.
• Track and forecast project costs; provide monthly PMO reporting.
• Identify risks early and drive mitigation strategies.
• Mentor junior PMs and contribute to PMO process improvements.
