The AES Corporation in Dayton, OH is seeking a Capital Project Manager to independently manage large-scale transmission, distribution, and infrastructure projects from planning through construction. You will sit at the core of our PMO and lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects that expand capacity and reliability.

Ideal candidates have 3–7 years in capital construction, a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and PMP; proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and Oracle P6 is strongly

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience managing capital construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• PM role with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget and risk.

Responsabilités

• Manage multi‑million‑dollar capital projects ($5M–$50M+) with full accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, cash flows, and risk registers.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure construction milestones and outages are executed safely and on time.
• Lead procurement planning, scope development, bid evaluations, and contract administration.
• Track and forecast project costs; provide detailed monthly reporting for PMO and leadership.
• Identify risks early and drive mitigation strategies.
• Support mentoring and development of junior PMs.
• Participate in PMO process improvement and lessons‑learned initiatives.
