Job summary

Safeware, Inc. is seeking a Capital Projects Manager to lead large-scale construction and facility improvement projects.

You’ll manage scope, budgets, schedules, contractor coordination, and stakeholder communication to deliver on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of capital project experience, strong knowledge of construction methods and contract administration, and proficiency with MS 365 and project management tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing capital construction or facility improvement projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with budgets, schedules, and scope.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, contract administration, project planning, and safety regulations.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with project management software and cost-tracking systems.
• Strong Microsoft 365 skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30% as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution from award through completion of large-scale construction and facility improvement projects.
• Develop and maintain budgets, critical path schedules, scopes of work, and documentation.
• Monitor progress, financial performance, quality, and timelines; address delays or cost overruns.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, architects, engineers, customers, and internal teams.
• Oversee contractor performance to meet quality, safety, and contractual obligations.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
• Provide accurate project updates, cost forecasts, and performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Support opportunities to improve project processes and customer satisfaction.
