Momentive seeks a Capital Construction Leader to manage 100+ capital projects with a $20-$25 million portfolio, partnering with plant leadership and contractors to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and cost control. This onsite role requires coordinating field execution from mobilization through completion while driving improvements and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training, engineering or technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 5-10+ years of experience in maintenance or construction management within an industrial setting.
• Proven track record of delivering results through program development, leadership of teams, and/or through direct reports.
• Demonstrated ability to be effective in a matrixed organization and excellent service to internal customers.
• Knowledge of chemical manufacturing maintenance systems and techniques as well as knowledge of maintenance excellence practices.
• Self-starter, ability to independently identify improvement opportunities and act with limited direction.
• Asbestos Licensure (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a portfolio of 100+ capital construction projects, ensuring successful execution from initiation to completion.
• Develop, track, and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to align with business objectives.
• Provide strategic leadership in project planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Lead and manage a diverse group of contractors (10-50 personnel) while ensuring safety standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Develop and mentor project managers, engineers, and team members to foster continuous improvement.
• Drive safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety regulations and plant policies.
• Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective actions to improve safety on sites.
• Drive initiatives to reduce downtime, minimize delays, and improve resource utilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean construction practices.
