3M is seeking a Capital Project Engineer for an on-site role in Knoxville, IA, to lead capital project planning, schedules, and budgets. You will develop bid strategies, define equipment performance, and ensure safe, reliable operations across global teams.

The role requires an engineering degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience or an Associate’s with 5 years, PMP preferred, and familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project, SAP, SolidWorks, and NX.

Qualificações

• Associate’s Degree/Technical Diploma or higher in Engineering or Science with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Science with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering design and project management tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, SAP, Solidworks, NX or similar systems.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the planning and execution of assigned capital projects by managing FEL studies, project schedules, budgets, construction activities, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop and implement competitive bidding strategies, including bid evaluation and contractor selection, to ensure cost-effective and high-quality project results.
• Define equipment performance requirements and engineering design criteria to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
• Establish and maintain robust schedule and cost control processes, including forecasting, progress tracking, variance analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Foster strong communication and collaboration with project teams, site leadership, contractors, and stakeholders throughout all phases of project execution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, guidelines, and company requirements so that all designs and project activities meet regulatory, safety, and operational expectations.
