Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Capital Modeling Lead to develop internal economic capital modeling capabilities and collaborate with risk, actuarial, and FP&A teams. The role requires building, challenging, and expanding models, and translating results into strategic business decisions.

The position is remote anywhere in the United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska) with opportunities to lead capital analytics across functions and geographies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of related experience in P&C insurance economic capital modeling or equivalent.
• Proven ability to design or build stochastic insurance models beyond basic ops.
• Strong understanding of Monte Carlo, VaR/TVaR, dependency modeling, and capital attribution.
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts to nontechnical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep technical understanding of CSAA's ReMetrica-based economic capital model.
• Independently reproduce, challenge, and enhance model calculations and methodologies.
• Design and build stochastic economic capital models across risks and geographies.
• Collaborate with ERM, Actuarial, Investments, and FP&A to apply capital analytics in decisions.
• Develop analyses translating results into actionable business insights.
