Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Capital Modeling Lead to develop and enhance internal economic capital models and analytics. The role partners with ERM, Actuarial, Investments, Product Management, catastrophe modeling, and FP&A to drive capital decisions and strategic planning.

You will design stochastic models, validate methods, and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership, with remote work options across the U.S. and flexible collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
• 10+ years of related experience in P&C insurance economic capital modeling.
• Proven ability to design or build stochastic insurance models.
• Strong understanding of Monte Carlo simulation, VaR and TVaR, dependency modeling.
• Experience incorporating catastrophe-model output into economic capital or other stochastic models.
• Strong programming capability in Python, R, or another quantitative language.
• Ability to communicate sophisticated quantitative concepts to nontechnical business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand CSAA's internal economic capital modeling capabilities.
• Design and build stochastic capital models integrating underwriting, reserve, catastrophe, investment, credit, reinsurance, and other material risks.
• Collaborate with ERM, Actuarial, Investments, Product Management, catastrophe modeling, and FP&A.
• Support forward-looking capital projections, stress testing, and strategic planning.
• Develop analyses that translate economic capital results into actionable business insights.
