Job summary

Cumming Group invites an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to oversee procurement for a major pharmaceutical manufacturing capital project in Wilson, NC. This 12-month contract (with extension potential) demands leadership of RFx processes, negotiations, and critical supplier performance across equipment, engineering, and services.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in procurement for large-scale CAPEX, and hands-on experience with regulated manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related field.
• 8+ years in procurement, sourcing, or capital projects.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing (pharma/biotech)
• Strong contract negotiation and supplier performance management.
• Experience with SAP, Ariba, Oracle or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead owner-side procurement for equipment, construction, subcontract and professional services.
• Develop procurement plans, contracting strategies and schedules.
• Manage vendor prequalification, RFPs, bid evaluations, negotiations and awards.
• Track procurement from PO through fabrication, delivery and closeout.
• Monitor supplier performance, schedule risks, change orders and escalations.
