Job summary

Cumming Group seeks a Senior Procurement Manager to drive procurement for a multi‑billion pharmaceutical manufacturing capital project in Wilson, NC. This onsite role leads equipment, engineering, construction, and service procurements through award to closeout.

12‑month contract with a 12‑month extension; 2‑year assignment at minimum. Requires 8+ years in procurement on CAPEX projects and regulated industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8+ years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, contracting, or capital project experience.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
• Strong background in contract negotiation, vendor management, procurement scheduling, and supplier performance.
• Experience with SAP, Ariba, Oracle, or similar procurement systems.
• CPSM, CPM, or PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead owner-side procurement for equipment, construction, subcontract, and professional service packages.
• Develop procurement plans, contracting strategies, procurement schedules, and long-lead equipment tracking.
• Manage vendor prequalification, RFPs, bid evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards.
• Track procurement progress from PO issuance through fabrication, shipment, delivery, installation, and closeout.
• Manage supplier performance, schedule risks, change orders, claims, and procurement reporting.
• Ensure vendor documentation supports commissioning, qualification, validation, and regulatory requirements.
