Job summary

The Ohio State University’s Student Life department seeks a Senior Event Planning Coordinator to lead complex events across campus, coordinating with Catering, AV, Facilities, Sponsorship, and other partners.

You will gather client requirements, manage timelines, and ensure seamless execution from concept to completion, including conferences, trade shows, weddings, and activations. Evening and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 4 years of full-time event planning experience.
• Supervisory experience.
• Attention to detail and strong communication.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate events from concept through execution across campus.
• Collaborate with internal teams (catering, AV, facilities) for event success.
• Serve as primary client contact and gather event information.
• Oversee food and beverage services and vendor coordination.
• Train student employees and support staff as needed.
