Job summary

Blood Cancer United in Indianapolis is seeking a mission-driven leader to guide multiple staff teams, build strong relationships with constituents, and implement innovative peer-to-peer fundraising products to exceed revenue goals while pursuing cures.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the role leads volunteers and committees, develops strategic plans, and drives local donor cultivation, education partnerships, and program priorities across a designated market area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 7–8 years of relatable fundraising experience.
• Proven track record of leadership and building high performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Education Services and Health Research to communicate Blood Cancer United’s mission, programs, resources and priorities.
• Organize mission-centered, local donor cultivation events and prospect high-impact donors for national stewardship activities.
• Create and implement an innovative strategic plan annually and revise periodically to ensure revenue goals are met.
• Teach, train and consult fundraising staff in designated market area.
• Hire, manage, develop and train peer-to-peer fundraising teams.
• Collaborate to grow volunteer and corporate relationships across the market and organization.
• Recruit and cultivate high-level volunteer committees and provide comprehensive volunteer support.
• Accountable for achieving high-impact peer-to-peer fundraising revenue goals and retaining/upgrading sponsorships for all products.
• Maintain knowledge of Blood Cancer United’s mission to promote organizational initiatives.
