YMCA of the Cedar Rapids Metro Area is seeking an experienced Senior Camp Counselor to supervise a group of campers and deliver engaging activities throughout the day. The role supports the Camp Director and Specialists while modeling the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Responsibilities include leading activities, ensuring safety, building positive relationships with families, and participating in required trainings and safety programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or college credits preferred in Education.
• Basic understanding of youth development principles.
• First Aid, CPR and AED certification may be required.
• 1-3 years’ experience leading and supervising group activities.

Responsabilités

• Supervise a group of campers and support overall supervision during camp days.
• Plan and deliver activities and assist Camp Director and Specialist.
• Create a positive, respectful environment and model YMCA values.
• Maintain camp safety, participate in trainings, and uphold policies.
