Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking an Advanced CAM Programmer and Machining Optimization Engineer in Dayton, OH. You will translate prints and GD&T into stable, high-throughput CNC processes, and continuously refine them with machinists, programmers, and automation techs.

You will own the development, prove-out, and optimization of CNC machining processes for production, using Mastercam and other CAM tools to craft toolpaths, posts, and strategies that improve cycle time, tool life, quality, and OEE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Several years of professional CNC programming and machining.
• Strong command of milling and/or turning.
• Experience in production-focused CAM program development and optimization.
• Depth in cutting tools, feeds/speeds, workholding, fixturing, and machining fundamentals.
• Systematic troubleshooting approach; hands-on at the machine during programming/prove-out/optimization.
• Analytical problem-solver with ability to interpret drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Own the development, programming, prove-out, and optimization of CNC machining processes for production.
• Create and edit CNC programs using Mastercam and other CAM, including toolpaths and posts.
• Define machining strategies, feeds/speeds, tooling, workholding, and fixturing.
• Improve lines for cycle time, throughput, tool life, quality, and OEE.
• Support turnkey machining and automation solutions from concept to steady-state.
• Diagnose quality issues, chatter, dimensional variation, and machine performance.
