Job summary

WERK-BRAU CO INC is seeking a CNC Programmer in Findlay, OH to create and optimize high-precision programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling, lathes and horizontals. You will bridge engineering designs with the shop floor to ensure parts meet strict quality standards.

The role requires Mastercam experience (2–5 years), strong communication, and the ability to work on-site with a team across set schedules; you should be comfortable with heavy tooling and GD&T interpretation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Experience using Mastercam (2–5 years).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Manufacturing work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Mastercam programming to create/refine 2D/3D toolpaths for milling/turning.
  • Machine setup and prove-out of new programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and improve tool life.
  • Interpret blueprints and GD&T to select machining sequences.
  • Research/test workholding solutions with tooling suppliers.

The CNC Programmer is responsible for creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting high-precision programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis vertical mills, CNC lathes and Horizontals. This role bridges the gap between engineering designs and the shop floor, ensuring parts are produced efficiently and according to strict quality standards.

Core Responsibilities
  • Mastercam Programming:Create and refine complex 2D and 3D toolpaths usingMastercamfor both milling and turning operations.
  • Machine Setup & Operation:Set up and "prove out" new programs on the machine to ensure accuracy, minimize tool wear and machine efficiency.
  • Process Optimization:Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and improve tool life through better programming strategies or tool selection.
  • Blueprint Interpretation:Analyze technical drawings andGD&T(Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to determine the best machining sequence.
  • Tooling & Fixturing:Research and test work holding solutions as needed for day-to-day machining. Work with tooling suppliers to ensure best possible quality and tooling cost.
  • Training: Once programming and tooling are established, train operators to execute programs with the proper feeds and speeds set up to maximize tool life and minimize cycle times.
  • Follow Up: Respond to "HELP DESK" tickets as they come in.
  • Effective communication in verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work on-site and within scheduled hours.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to move supplies/equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
